About Davie Group

Founded in 2018, Davie Group has grown rapidly into a global direct-to-consumer retailer, best known for The Oodie and a fast-expanding range of loungewear, sleepwear and accessories. Today, the group operates six Shopify stores, runs six warehouses across Australia, New Zealand, the US, UK and Europe, and partners with multiple global 3PLs to fulfil millions of orders annually – all with a lean internal team and a deeply integrated tech ecosystem.

Originally, we were using a 4PL model that gave us access to warehousing through a third party, but we had no visibility or control. There were fulfillment delays, miss picks and inventory control problems. We wanted to build direct relationships with our 3PL providers, and integrate directly into NetSuite so we had full visibility and could set up our business up for the future.

the challenge

Signs of friction in fulfilment

As Davie Group expanded internationally, its fulfilment model relied on a 4PL provider to manage warehousing and logistics across multiple regions. While this setup initially worked, it limited visibility and control over warehouse operations. As volumes spiked, the 4PL’s logistics network strained under pressure – fulfilment slowed, delays increased and inventory accuracy took a hit. Without direct relationships or access to data, the Davie Group operations team lacked the insight needed to maintain service levels or audit supply chain performance.

“We have always aimed for speed of delivery to our customers, which is why we have expanded our warehouse network to be located close to customers,” said Michele Fitzgerald, Chief Operating Officer.

While Davie Group had already implemented NetSuite, new priorities around fulfilment, automation and scalability called for a specialist partner. Annexa was selected for their deep integration expertise and proven ability to design architecture that extends NetSuite across complex operational environments.

Everything feels calmer. We've taken control of our global operations, built better relationships with our 3PLs and given our teams the tools to do their jobs efficiently.

A global fulfilment overhaul, at speed

With Annexa’s support, Davie Group reengineered its fulfilment model. The business transitioned from a single 4PL arrangement to direct relationships with experienced eCommerce 3PL providers across five of its global warehouses.

These providers were integrated directly into NetSuite using Celigo’s iPaaS platform – enabling real-time sync of sales orders, fulfilments, purchase orders and inventory movements. Despite the complexity, Annexa delivered four regional integrations in under three months.

The shift brought immediate impact. Davie Group gained full access to inventory systems across all warehouses – improving visibility, tightening controls and reducing errors. Cycle counting was introduced and external audits are now fast and frictionless.

During Black Friday 2023, the group’s UK 3PL faced a large order backlog, with delays stretching out for weeks. After shifting to direct 3PL relationships and integrating with NetSuite, Davie Group is now regularly shipping orders within 24 hours.

The collaboration with Annexa was central to the project’s success. With no internal developers, Davie Group needed a partner who could cut through the complexity, clarify requirements and move quickly. “We don’t have an internal development team, so having people who could speak our language and help build out the scope of work was a huge help,” said Fitzgerald, “Annexa really pushed themselves during the 3PL rollout – integrating with that many providers in such a short time, working across multiple time zones, was a huge ask, but they pulled it off.”

The focus now is on customer experience. Davie Group is working with Annexa to integrate global returns platform, Narvar, with its six regional Shopify Plus stores, 3PL network and NetSuite. The goal is to create a simple and easy self-service returns process, which is consistent across all markets.

With a fully integrated ecosystem in place, Davie Group has now shifted from manual workarounds to automation – freeing up internal teams to focus on strategy and giving operations the tools to scale global growth with control and confidence.

We really found our groove during the 3PL process. We now have weekly calls and have built strong relationships with the Annexa team. They feel like an extension of our own team.
