Frequently asked questions

We sell through our own website, marketplaces and physical stores. How does NetSuite stop inventory and orders living in three different systems?

That’s the core of what this page calls true operational visibility – unifying customer, order and inventory data so every channel reads from the same source. Omnichannel management covers inventory visibility and replenishment across channels, so stock committed in one channel isn’t oversold in another. It is the same single-platform principle we apply to multi-channel wholesale distribution, and it extends into the warehouse through real-time inventory and warehouse management when you hold your own stock.

We want to launch into new countries under more than one brand. What does NetSuite actually give us for that?

This page frames it as a complete cross-border commerce platform, calling out ‘Enter new markets with ease’ with multi-brand and multi-currency support. The product behind it is NetSuite OneWorld – a unified platform for multinational, multi-subsidiary or multi-currency operations – which is what Aesop uses to trade in 20+ countries. The same capability underpins global multi-entity operations for tech and digital businesses and multi-site, multi-country manufacturing.

We use a third-party logistics provider and hold stock in several warehouses. How is that handled?

Aesop’s outcome here is specifically automated integration to global 3PL warehouses, so it is a proven pattern rather than a theoretical one – the same integration approaches we use to connect 3PLs, carriers and banks apply. Warehouse operations themselves run on NetSuite Warehouse Management, and the EDI and 3PL capability built for wholesale distributors covers synchronising inventory, orders, shipments and returns with an external provider.

What actually changes for our marketing and customer team?

Data-driven marketing on this page means reporting on customer behaviour, while ‘Customer-oriented cultures’ is about automating process so teams spend less time on admin. Because customer, order and inventory data sits in one place, segmentation comes from real transaction history rather than a partial export. Deeper analysis runs through SuiteAnalytics and NetSuite Analytics Warehouse – the same reporting and dashboard capability we deploy for services businesses.

What else can you connect - payments, shipping, banking?

The integrations shown on this page include Shopify Plus, Magento, Lightspeed, Salesforce, Australia Post for shipping, ANZ Bank, and the Adyen Transaction Reconciler for payments, with an ‘All integrations’ link for the full set. Beyond the catalogue, custom APIs, iPaaS and file-based integrations cover anything without a pre-built connector, and apps and extensions built by Annexa handle things like address validation and landed cost.

We're already on Shopify Plus (or Magento) and don't want to rebuild our storefront. Do we have to replace it?

No. This page lists ‘Integrate with leading platforms’, naming Shopify Plus and Magento connectivity, and both appear again among the eCommerce and retail platform integrations. The pattern is NetSuite as the back-office system of record with your existing storefront kept in front, joined by our NetSuite integration services. Linen House, one of the case studies here, runs a Shopify Plus integration alongside NetSuite.

Can you point to a retail brand like ours that has actually done this?

Three are named on this page. Aesop automated integration to global 3PL warehouses and expanded to 20+ countries on NetSuite OneWorld and AnnexaConnect. T2 streamlined POS integration across 100+ stores using NetSuite, SuiteCommerce and AnnexaConnect. Linen House implemented an adaptable WMS and grew from 2 retail stores to 16 in 2 years – the same business also appears in our wholesale distribution success stories.

We run POS in our stores. Can that connect, or do we end up re-keying store sales?

Yes – two of the three case studies on this page are POS integrations. T2’s headline outcome is streamlined POS integration across 100+ stores, and Linen House lists a Vend POS integration among the products used. Lightspeed also appears in the integrations shown here, and how we build and support those integrations is set out in detail on our integrations page.

How quickly can we be live? Is there a faster path than a full custom build?

Yes. NetSuite SuiteSuccess is listed here as an implementation methodology with pre-built, industry-specific practices, roles, workflows, KPI reports and dashboards for a quick, budget-friendly go-live, and Linen House used it. We offer both out-of-the-box and tailored NetSuite implementations, so the right path is a scoping conversation rather than a fixed answer.

If we grow quickly, will we outgrow the platform again in three years?

The opening argument on this page is scalability – NetSuite’s scalability seamlessly supports upticks in demand and growth whether you are expanding product lines, markets or customer reach. The product set here runs well past core ERP, so growth usually means switching on more of the suite rather than replatforming, backed by ongoing support services and a periodic structured optimisation review as your operation changes shape.
