NetSuite has released its sneak peek for 2026.2, published 15 July 2026. Where 2026.1 introduced AI features across the suite, this release concentrates them on the finance workflows where hours actually disappear: bank reconciliation, the close and payables.
One thing to note over everything that follows. NetSuite announces features globally and rolls them out regionally, and Australian availability for individual 2026.2 features has not yet been confirmed. Treat this as a preview of product direction, with local timing to be verified before you plan around any of it.
TL;DR
- NetSuite has published its sneak peek for release 2026.2, the second of its two annual updates
- The headline additions are AI-assisted bank reconciliation, Intelligent Flux Analysis for close and new labour cost insights
- NetSuite EPM Account Reconciliation gains AI transaction matching with prediction scores
- Regional availability has not been confirmed, so treat every feature as subject to Australian rollout timing until verified
Bank reconciliation gets an AI assistant
The largest cluster of changes lands in bank reconciliation. An AI transaction matching assistant now steps in when several possible GL matches remain, recommending a single likely transaction and explaining its reasoning. Humans review every suggestion before submission, so the assistant reduces investigation time without removing control. A new suggestions workspace replaces the former Review tab, surfacing ambiguous matches that were previously discarded and presenting as many as five likely options with bank-side and GL-side detail shown together.
Invoice and bill payment matching brings payment creation into the reconciliation workflow itself. When NetSuite matches a bank transaction to an open invoice or bill and the match is accepted, the related payment is created and applied automatically. Payment adjustments handle bank fees, convenience fees and customer underpayments directly on the payment record rather than through separate journals. New Matched By and Submitted By logging strengthens the audit trail, and Narrative Insights summaries flag unmatched and ageing items most likely to delay the close.
Intelligent Flux Analysis arrives for the close
The standout close feature is NetSuite Intelligent Flux Analysis, which drafts AI-generated explanations for why account balances moved between periods. Accessible from the Comparative Income Statement and as a task in the Intelligent Close Manager portlet, it targets one of the most manual jobs in month-end: comparing reports, chasing drivers and writing variance commentary. Intelligent Close Manager itself adds a consolidated exchange rate calculation task, task prioritisation and employee assignment, tightening ownership across the close checklist.
What else is in the release
| Area | What 2026.2 adds |
|---|---|
| Payment automation | International vendor payments with estimated exchange rates, plus a personalised payables workspace with saved filters and columns |
| Labour insights | Labour cost reports with AI-generated summaries connecting workforce costs to revenue and margin, and native start and end time fields in time tracking |
| EPM Account Reconciliation | AI transaction matching and attribute assignment with prediction scores, plus balance attributes, global rules and automatic exception alerts |
| Tax and compliance | SuiteTax tax-inclusive pricing and tax on purchase term discounts, a Compliance 360 audit approver role and PEPPOL-focused e-invoicing improvements |
The Australian and New Zealand availability question
None of the above should be read as confirmed for Australian and New Zealand accounts. NetSuite’s own release material carries a safe harbour statement noting that development, timing and availability of any feature remain at Oracle’s discretion, and regional rollout of individual features regularly trails the global announcement. The 2026.1 cycle showed the same pattern, with some capabilities dependent on regional infrastructure or separate module adoption.
The sensible approach for Australian and New Zealand finance teams is to note which features might assist your workflows, then confirm local availability before building them into close calendars or project plans. Annexa tracks regional rollout as part of release management for our customers and will publish an update once ANZ timing is confirmed.

Frequently asked questions
What is NetSuite 2026.2?
NetSuite 2026.2 is the second of NetSuite’s two annual releases for 2026. The sneak peek, published in July 2026, previews AI-assisted bank reconciliation, Intelligent Flux Analysis for close management, labour cost insights, payment automation improvements and enhancements across EPM Account Reconciliation, SuiteTax, Compliance 360 and e-invoicing.
Will all 2026.2 features be available in Australia?
Australian availability has not been confirmed for individual 2026.2 features. NetSuite announces features globally and rolls them out regionally, and some capabilities depend on regional infrastructure or separate module adoption. Confirm local availability with your NetSuite partner before planning around any specific feature.
What is Intelligent Flux Analysis?
Intelligent Flux Analysis uses AI to draft explanations for why account balances changed between reporting periods. It is accessible from the Comparative Income Statement and as a task within the Intelligent Close Manager portlet, reducing the manual report comparison and variance commentary that typically slows month-end close.
How can I test 2026.2 before my account is upgraded?
NetSuite offers Release Preview accounts that let you test 2026.2 features against a copy of your own data, workflows and customisations before your production account is upgraded. Your NetSuite administrator or partner can request access.
Do the EPM reconciliation features require a separate licence?
Yes. The AI transaction matching and reconciliation assignment features apply to NetSuite Account Reconciliation, which is part of the separately licensed NetSuite EPM suite. The core bank reconciliation improvements apply to standard NetSuite financial management.
