Six ways to self-resolve your NetSuite issues

Six ways to self-resolve your NetSuite issues
Published on 5th December 2023

Despite its robust functionality, a surprising number of NetSuite users are yet to fully discover and make use of the platform’s built-in support and learning resources. This oversight can often lead to underutilisation of the system, prolonged problem-solving times, and even unnecessary frustration.

At the heart of this issue is a lack of awareness. Many users, especially those new to NetSuite or with limited ERP experience, might not be fully aware of the depth of resources available within the platform. We’re here to get you on the right track.

1. The NetSuite Help Centre

Navigating the NetSuite Help Centre will guide you through the intricate labyrinth of NetSuite’s functionalities.

2. SuiteAnswers

Watch the video to learn best practices for using SuiteAnswers, including how to search for issues using keywords, leverage advanced search options, and identify the most relevant solutions and articles.

3. NetSuite user groups and forums

Joining NetSuite user groups and forums is a great way to engage with other users, share problems, and learn from community-sourced solutions.

Here are a few groups and forums you might want to join:

The NetSuite Support Community

NetSuite’s User Community is great for connecting with fellow users and accessing content related to NetSuite support, tips, news, and features. The community – featuring Ask a Guru and NetSuite MyLearn – is overseen by seasoned NetSuite professionals and serves as an excellent resource for expanding your network while gaining access to shared knowledge and expertise.

4. Release notes

NetSuite releases updates at least twice a year, each of which contains critical enhancements and fixes to address various issues. Keep updated because these release notes provide valuable insights for getting the most out of NetSuite.

5. NetSuite Guided Learning

NetSuite has recently introduced a new feature to help users navigate their roles and specific pages more effectively. Called NetSuite’s Guided Learning, it’s an in-application learning tool that provides real-time guidance and support within the NetSuite platform. It offers visual walk-throughs with step-by-step instructions, allowing users to learn specific tasks and features seamlessly. Users can also access a range of learning resources, including visualisations, and progress at their own pace, receiving personalised assistance as needed. The tool also tracks your progress and allows you to revisit guides as required, making it a valuable resource for efficient and effective learning within NetSuite.
