One of the driving forces behind Aesop’s ongoing international expansion is leading Australian cloud software provider Annexa, whose technology services have helped the beauty brand to open new stores at an impressive rate of one per fortnight.

To discuss the global success journey achieved through Netsuite, Aesop representative Troy Smith was invited to speak at last month’s SuiteWorld event in Las Vegas; the largest and leading cloud ERP conference held from 23rd – 26th April.

By implementing cloud business management software Netsuite, Annexa has effectively assisted in Aesop’s rapid global expansion and helped distinguish the brand from others in the global beauty market.

Speaking on stage with Jason Maynard, EVP of Oracle NetSuite, Troy Smith, Global Head of ICT at Aēsop said “to be able to have a platform where the infrastructure, compliance or security issues are already handled for us, makes the deployment of NetSuite into new countries really quick scalable and easy.

“From a cultural perspective having the multi language functionality really helps. Japan is a great example – we couldn’t have deployed the system in English.

“We used a partner called Annexa, who helped us with our rollouts in Australia, Asia and America. What we tried to do was keep the core model tight and consistent around the globe so that when we rolled it out all we had to worry about was localisations and adapting it for any market requirements that we needed.”

In 2014, Annexa assisted Aesop by implementing NetSuite’s cloud-based business management suite and replaced 12 disparate applications for a single, more cost effective solution.

In 4 years, Aesop has expanded from more than 150 retail stores to roughly 320.

Troy said Aesop has NetSuite deployed in 22 countries, 6 languages and 21 currencies.

“We have a core model of NetSuite that we roll out and then as we go into each market we localise it to each market,” he said.

On Thursday April 26, Troy took the SuiteWorld stage with Jason Maynard, Netsuite’s Head of Global Strategy in front of 7,500+ attendees.

Also in attendance at the event was Annexa’s Managing Director Ross Spriggs and five members of Annexa’s team.

“Working closely with Aesop over the past four years has enabled us to build a long term relationship and ensure we have the right solutions to support their future needs,’ said Ross.

“We were very excited to see Aesop up on stage at SuiteWorld 2018.”
